Thanks to the silly Motorola ad... It doesn't even need to mean much :D May 31 Some statistics and thoughtuTorrent gives some stats as to how much you've downloaded and uploaded... Since Bit Torrent is my P2P of choice these days it makes for an interesting perspective... In the past 30 days (the new broadband connection was installed only then) I have downloaded OVER 30 GB of stuff from uTorrent alone. This does not take into account stuff downloaded by my roomies (We share a WiFi connection, what can I say we're swank :o). This also does not take into account stuff I've downloaded from weird and wonderful nether regions of the WWW (well mostly ted.com :). This in itself totals about 4 GB. Moral of the story? We (at any rate I) live in an extremely content insatiable environment... The more there seems to be, the faster we tend to consume it. Not just Music and Movies, digital goodies of all sorts travel through the various channels we have open, to enrich lives and develop experiences which we would otherwise not have. But an ironic twist to this is the simple fact that despite all the large downloads happening, the one window I check on most often is my Twhirl session (No there will be no Twitter downtime jokes here, I rail against no one :o). Possibly because however cool some indie band might be its still at best a moments thought, the vicarious pleasures of community speak are much more entertaining and engage one for longer. Current Song - The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Vacuum Boots May 29 A new distractionI've been watching the Flight of the Conchords... An HBO comedy series about a New Zealand (very much so) band in New York.  Not only is the comedy extremely improvisational and surreal, they have inane self composed songs as well :D The jokes are mostly about the struggles of two very nerdy guys and their manager trying to get noticed and become 'a rock n roll band'... The personalities are not just very well portrayed but are actually fun to be involved in. The song and dance sequences are amazingly (and hysterically) situational. A good time was had watching these boys do their thing. Current Song - Flight of the Conchords - Robots (Binary Solo) May 13 Barcamp DelhiI shall be attending the BarCamp Delhi 2008 this saturday (May 13). They now have a VENUE. :) The event promises to be fun... Totally looking forward to this... Noida though... In the hot sun... You know whatever is said and done about clichés like ‘comfort zones’ and ‘paradigm shifts’ (its always shifting BTW)… there are aspects of these which are interesting to observe in and around the people you interact with… Or with you…
It’s a very peaceful scenario to keep doing what you’re already good at, and pick up incremental expertise till such time as you can…
That is unfortunately not what happens...
Its been a good ride however… I’ve learnt a bit and taught a bit… I’ve been angrily defiant and euphorically unreasonable…
But at the end of the day, its all about the next turn on the road…

I needed a slightly more modern machine than the Acer, and I was introduced to a person willing to sell a ‘slightly’ used VAIO for a very comfortable price.
Ohh… the bargains to be had from the US returns J
However the saga of utter left turns and ‘change of minds’ made the transaction impossible to effect. However sanity reigned supreme at the end and I have my grubby lil paws on a not bad looking Black and Silver Sony…
Who am I kidding… it looks lovely :P
With free WiFi courtesy at least one of my neighbors it is as enshrined in Munnabhai ‘ Maja Nu Life’
